亚当（罗伯特·德尼罗 Robert De Niro 饰）和艾丽（黛安·基顿 Diane Keaton 饰）曾走过20年的婚姻生涯，但如今已分手多年，亚当转而与艾丽的闺蜜贝贝（苏珊·萨兰登 Susan Sarandon 饰）在一起。原本以为生活将照例继续，怎料烦恼却随着养子亚力（本·巴恩斯 Ben Barnes 饰）的婚礼降临。亚力和女友美丝（阿曼达·塞弗里德 Amanda Seyfried 饰）两情相悦，互许婚盟，然而亚力远在哥伦比亚的生母麦当娜得知此事后，执意要来参加婚礼。为了避免尴尬，亚当和艾丽不得不貌合神离地假装恩爱，为了迎合麦当娜的清教信仰，亚力和美丝甚至想方设法请来了天主教神父，一场费尽心思的盛大婚礼终于在混乱和笑料中登场了…… 本片翻拍自2006年法语喜剧《我弟弟要结婚了》。。烧锅屯的村民连续十年拖欠国家税款，而且拒绝干部进村，村民在村头挂了一口钟，每当上级派干部来，钟声便响起，村民闻声而动，阻拦干部进村…… 此事被新闻媒体披露，引起了普遍关注。为了彻底解决烧锅屯的问题，县委抽调组织部副部长杨天虹任队长，带领一支“三个代表”思想学习教育工作队再次进驻烧锅屯。 杨天虹带着队员克服重重阻力迎难而上，忍辱负重，深入群众，为村民办实事，先后解决了集资款、土地、儿童失学等问题，最终促成老党员“贺铁腿”转变，教育了“二老道”、“赵铁嘴”等落后农民，赢得了民心，使烧锅屯终于改变了落后的面貌……。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
