The audience will be taken from hidden valleys to unknown p...。河井リツ子作のコミック「とっとこハム太郎」を原作としたアニメ作品。2000年7月から2004年3月まで放送されていた「とっとこハム太郎」（第１期）を、デジタルリマスターで再構成したもの。これまで3作が制作されてきた「ハム太郎」シリーズは、いずれも河井リツ子作詞・作曲の「ハム太郎とっとこうた」のバリエーションがオープニングテーマに起用されてきた。本作でもその伝統は踏襲され、新作「ハム太郎とっとこうた2011」が使用されている。 緑あふれる小さな町に住む、小学5年生ロコちゃん。彼女が家で飼っているハムスターのハム太郎は、好奇心旺盛で元気一杯。いつも仲間のハムスター「ハムちゃんず」と共に、大騒ぎを巻き起こしていく。。
