Plebs follows three desperate young men from the suburbs...。在东京某个安静的角落，居住着一对平凡的夫妇。身为丈夫的梅田信次（江口洋介 饰）是一名干劲十足的房地产中介，他终日奔波，不辞辛苦，全心全意支持妻子的事业和理想。妻子美奈是某国际知名指挥家的女儿，然而她却无法取得令父亲满意的成绩。日常里她依靠自家开设的钢琴教室为生，每天不得不挤出笑容应付难缠的孩子和家长。夫妻二人始终没有生养孩子，因为美奈无论如何都想朝着世界大赛做最后一次冲击。这一天，一个脏兮兮的男孩闯入梅田家的庭院，此前他曾遭受父母的囚禁和虐待。即使男孩被送往福利机构，却不知为何又返回梅田家。 在丈夫的鼓动下，美奈决定收养这个钟情于她琴声的男孩……。谢随苦追暗恋许久的许愿，终得成婚，可却被查出脑癌晚期。他心疼许愿，为不拖累对方选择编造谎言离婚，盼她开启新生活。然而，许愿通过种种发现，很快拆穿了这个谎言，后续他们又将何去何从，令人揪心不已。。
