原是鉴宝堂堂主的楚钰隐藏身份在鉴宝行做着一名普通保洁，鉴宝行里楚钰无意打碎一只金碗被众人逼赔，正巧楚钰曾经的下属萧烨出现化解一切，并请求楚钰重新接管鉴宝堂，楚钰为家庭及儿子的临时婚礼果断拒绝，匆匆赶去儿子的婚礼。。背景设置在近未来，主角是高级督察John Major及Roy Carver（Daniel Mays及Stephen Graham饰 ）；John及Roy是队中的灭罪精英拍档，但当一次卧底任务出错并造成John殉职后，警队因认为他是不可或缺的重要「资产」，于是决定把John的意识转移到一个实验性人工智能项目，使主角复活过来。 问题是，John Major 2.0虽然看似原版货，但其实在意识转移过程中漏失了不少东西，现在他的傲慢举动及过份热心的态度仍在，但破案直觉却通通丢掉了。。Legendary oceanographer Sylvia Earle and a cast of pioneering marine scientists tell the story of the incredible work being undertaken across the planet to protect the fragile ecosystem of our oceans.
